Sorry mate, but I dont think its that easy way... of course you can not cause that easy damages when just touching the clock frequenzy but you definetly can damage your hardware...
I use the G15 and i would recommend it... the keys are well-arranged and have a good pressure point, and the display and the makro buttons are good to use
But its actually a cool game and when i played it last time about 2 months ago there were still alot of people online... but all in all aoe2: the conquerors rocks alot more
I just was on a 3 weeks student exchange to the us and dr.pepper is the most horrible drink i ever had... the first dram is fine... but then youll die... ibought a large drink and throw away the most of it because its unbelieveable horrible (same as poptarts i ate the 1st time when i was in us).

There is the problem: IW fucked up the PC gamers without dedicated. The Playlist is hacked so you land on the hacked server again. The only way in these times to dodge the problems is to choose the not so filled playlists for example mercenary TDM instead of TDM or sabotage.
