ive been looking at a laptop for someone, i suspect the motherboard is fryed. thought i post some details here, if you can help at all, any ideas it would be appreciated.

when turn laptop on nothing really happens, can hear fan turning at first then it stops, if theres a cd in can here it reading cd also faint beeps only when cd is in but nothing on screen, screen always stays blank.

what ive tryed so far:

pluging into desktop moniter
shined torch on screen
reseating memory, one stick at a time and also used known working memory from another laptop
tryed another hdd just incase
hard reset by holding power for one minute
removed cd drive

before it fecked up was getting used alot, fan was on non stop, it crashed twice both blue screens

Hm could it be that the Screen has given up (damaged cables)? So you could connect it with a monitor???
Try to insert a boot cd, I don't know what effort it should bring but do it, just for the fun Very Happy
