Well, i simply love it!!
Though I must say video was a bit biased... Germans or anybody else weren't to blame for war individually...It's not as easy...
War IS evil, not the people that fight them usually... That was the most important leasson taught by the people that actually fought in WWI, right??
But how will they render things like mud (could swallow heavy equipment, afaik) & progressive degradation of terrain/deforestation (shelling of forests could make terrible casualties on advancing inf., so i heard) Long-distance bombardments on rear to hinder transport (i.e. Verdun's 'Voie Sacrée', the supply route towards frontlines) 100.000 shells/hour bombardments... :P
Transport difficulties themselves (the Taxi Offensive). Modern units such as Planes, arty observers, etc. Buildings such as Forts (Verdun again) & combat inside them/unexpected events (shells blowing up inside Fort de Vaux caused the death of hundres of German/French defenders inside (happened in turns...).
Modern weaponry such as Minenwerfer, early GL's, & thier subsequent upgrades. Different types of gas. Close combat weaponry (home-made stuff for european armies, usually) & dynamics. 'Friendly fire'.
Strategy itself changed, heavy weaponry such as naval arty/mortars/MG's became masters of the battlefield. Infantry wasn't too specialised, cavalry reduced to scouting...
How about U-boats & naval warfare? How about colonial warfare too?
In sum, all that made war destructive on an unprecedented scale!?

Might be easier to do XIXth C wars maybe first. Plenty of interesting stuff there: colonial struggles/the 'Big Game', nation-building (Bismarck!). Powerful empires (Ottomans, etc)..
A sort of Empire 2!
