So I was waiting for STW2 battle to start and chatting with the guy. I asked how his stats showed 300+ games but his avatar was only lvl 5 bronze. Said he lost his avatars somehow. Oh bugger, I said in sympathy, my steam account is currently playing up so I know how he must feel. Then... BOOOM! He suddenly lost it big time. Mr sweary was having a proper fit. Turns out he took "bugger" as some sort of literal instruction and was mightily offended. Guess I took his avatar being the English flag to mean he would know UK slang. On that point is "bugger" UK slang, I mean even Mr Bean uses it doesn't he? Anyway no amount of explanation could calm him down. By the way, in his rants he cursed you too (the CA clan) and called us a bunch of cheaters - nice. Anyway he threw his toys right out of the pram and rage quit before we even got to play. I haven't laughed so much during a game, ever! Amazing the people you meet online eh? |

What about the image upload (to cloud) in Steam? You can set share with public or share with friends. Other clan members can browse your screen shots easily from your steam name.
The main advantage is one click and its done. But also it's easier to browse the images than on the form and the user interface is only likely to get better in the future as Steam develops.
Just checking your opinions, because I have shots in Steam but don't fancy spending time copying them to another hosting service and then posting links on the forum.

Any advice on this appreciated...
STW2 is crashing with error 0xC0000005, which is an access violation. Steam and all other processes continue running ok. I only get it after a battle when leaving the post battle screen. It happens every 2 or 3 battles. It doesn't happen in single player campaign, only multiplayer online.
My comp is old but there is plenty of RAM unused when running STW2. I'm running XP pro SP3, GeForce 8800 GT, Direct X 9.
Have tried these with no success: - reinstal STW2 - reinstal steam - antivirus realtime off (though firewall still up) - update drivers - update BIOS - mem test
Like I said any advice appreciated, even if just which forums to search/ask for help.
Maybe reinstall STW2 doesn't delete all C/C++ libraries/dlls? Like DirectX?
Cheers, CA |

I haven't been on the clan map.
What is the clan marker? Is that on the clan map or do you mean the {CA} in front of avatar name?
Yes up for some mp but been holding back because I have a problem with my machine. Steam crashes out after 2 or 3 battles. I get 0xc0000005 error (access violation). Luckily it is never during battles, usually happens as I try to leave the post battle screen.
Just re-installing steam now - only 5 hours to go! Only getting 1meg download for some reason.
Do you usually meet up for mp using steam or xfire? |
