Garry's Mod. The revolutionary game bringing creativity, to a new level.
About Garry's Mod
What is it?
Garry's Mod is a sandbox mod for the Source Engine. Unlike normal games there aren't any predefined aims or goals. Players are given tools and are left to entertain themselves.
The player is in a world where objects can be created and destroyed on demand. Where people can be created and destroyed with the click of a mouse. A world made for him. A world he made.
So what do you do?
There are a lot of things you can do with Garry's Mod, but here's a few of the more common uses.
Construction
Garry's Mod provides tools to constrain objects together in various ways. Using these tools the player can create working contraptions.
The simplest example is a car. The player spawns an object to be used for the car's body then adds wheels by firing the tool gun at the object. Wheels are then controllable using the numpad on your keyboard.
You don't have to make moving contraptions though - want to build a fort out of wooden crates then set it on fire? Go for it! Want to build a house using fridges for the walls and mattresses for the ceiling then drive a jeep into it all? Go for it!

Posing and Comics
One of the universal appeals of Garry's Mod has been the ability to place and pose ragdolls. This allows you to create your own comic books and share them online. One major comic spawned from this is HLComic - the story of Gordon Frohman's journey in City 17.
Garry's Mod gives you the ability to place ragdolls, manipulate their facial expressions and aim their eyes.

Gamemodes
Garry's Mod gives the ability to program your own gamemodes (Don't worry - you don't need to be a programmer to play them). This allows the community to make new, often wacky, gamemodes such as melon racing, build to the top and so on.
It's often worth taking a look in the server list to see if any of the games grab your attention - there's often something weird there to try out.
See for a list of gamemodes Private Gamemodes and Public Gamemodes.
User Created Content
Garry's Mod benefits greatly from a thriving community which is constantly churning out new ideas, maps, models, gamemodes, weapons, Lua scripts and skins.
I will be creating myself a little post consisting of things I've made this game, to show you guys just how encouraging this game is with creativity.
This post, is to introduce you to a new genre of gaming.
* Keep in mind *
Garry's Mod does require you to have Half Life 2 Deathmatch, or Half Life 2 Singleplayer.
The purpose for this, is to have a base for Garry's Mod's engine to run with. Garry's Mod is essentially a modification of Half Life 2, using the source engine. (which is also from Half Life 2)
To get the fullest amount of possibilities out of the game, you might want to buy (along with Garry's Mod)
* Do not be afraid by the giant list! *
You don't HAVE to get these games, or ALL of them just to play Garry's Mod
-Props from games you don't have show up as a big red "Error" with messed up hit boxes

This thing is very fun to fly! I would tell how to use it well but I think a video will show it better.
Video and more pictures coming soon. Video may take longer because I have no video editor and only Xfire to capture. If anybody wants to fly this OR get a video of it, contact me and tell me what server to join. You will need PHX3 and GCX for weapons.
For people who try to duplicate this, just know that it will get VERY crappy(weak welds) if you do. Do not upload this anywhere else except your private folder on servers. Just remember what the Russian mafia does to people who leak.
If you find any glitches with the public version, contact me and explain so I can fix it. Don't say "It's hard to fly!" or "It lowers my FPS." That is YOUR fault.
Glitches
One tail rotor can't spin on public version.(I have no idea why, it works on mine) FIXED in new version.

Weapons and Pylons
To attach a weapon, spawn it, put it under a pylon, and press the gray button near it. There are 2 pylons, one on each wing. If the weapon says "Left Pylon" then put it under the left wing. You can have any combination you want. Every attachment I've made so far has been suggested, so if you want to see something just tell me and I'll probably make it. Also, some people don't believe it is possible that I got the turret to be look aimed. As soon as they get in, they look at the ground, shoot, and blow themselves up! Just know that when you are in the gunner seat, you can blow anything up!
