Question, how does the Rome 2 multi-player work? Are there multiple rooms for battles? I just went on and saw only multi-player campaign battles, not regular hosted battles like Rome Total War or Medieval II Total War. And the chat rooms? Nobody talks, it's not like the old games. Is that normal?

use the filter mate, you have the option to join or host unranked games or play ranked games.. chat option is at the top right, aye its changed abit since mtw2
