Quick review of the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The Good:
Very fast reaction times, you can really tell the difference with the dual core CPU, when comparing it to my gf's HTC Desire HD there is a huge difference in loading applications and just the speed of general use.

The slim design, at only 8.5mm thick it's one of the thinnest phones out there so doesn't feel like you're carrying a brick around in your pocket.

The screen! It has an amazing screen, it's a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen and it does live up to the hype and is also made from the same "Gorilla glass" that the iPhone lot never shut up about . This also goes well with the 8mp camera as well as the ability to record video in 1080p.

The Bad:
The schizophrenic auto-brightness is a pain, where it either doesn't make the screen bright enough or it does make it bright enough only to dim it back down about three seconds later.

Also the slimness of the phone leaves it with a flimsy "cheap" feel, however this was easily fixed with a Casemate case (which I recommend 100% as the day after I got the case I dropped the phone and then managed to kick it down a hill on the bounce, there wasn't even a scratch on the case and the phone was perfect) which gives a nice heavy "quality" feel.

There is also a small fault that appears now and again though not often enough to be intrusive, it's that the data connection sometimes stops working and you have to stop and start your data connection (I just turn flight mode on and off).

Score:
Overall I would give it a 4/5, it loses out a point due the auto-brightness and the "cheap" feel (although at the price I would guess most people would be buying a case anyway).

On a side note I would give the Case-mate Tough case a easy 5/5 can't recommend it enough!!!!

I can only approve this review, got myself the SGS2 and its simply great.
Maybe a small thing about apps.
Many people, expecially Apple fanboys, claim that the biggest advantage of iPhone over Android-phones is, that the variety of apps is far bigger. But trust me, android market/playstore is fairly sufficient in the amount of apps Wink
