i don't think Napoleon Total War will be CA's next game, reason is that the era is the same era as ETW. Maybe there will be a Napoleon expansion for ETW, but not a new game based in the same era. For the next TW game i would like to see Shogun 2 TW or Three kingdoms TW based on the three kingdoms of Chinese history, or maybe they can dream up some fantasy total war or CAVEMAN Total War.....lol

Well the guys in CA say its not an expansion, but im afraid Nighty is right... only reason they dont call it expansion is to make a 50 dollar deal, instead of making it a simple 30 dollar expansion.

And Id say I would probably have more fun with a caveman total war fashioned the old way, rather than stupid empire.

Napoleon expansion pack is sure , it was featured in some French magazine.
Feature List:

It's not an Addon like Kingdoms, it's a Stand Alone game: (????????????????? stand alone ?) Shocked sounds like they want to milk some more money, they can sell this expansion pack ... sorry... Smile 'standalone' game to people to who didn't buy ETW (and have no idea how broken it's Smile I suspect a lot people who bought ETW won't buy into Napoleon so they need to expand their market range.

- the focus will be on different heroes of the history
- 3 campaigns: Napoleon in Italy, Egypt and Russia
- Trafalgar and Waterloo are included
- better diplomacy (no way Smile
- better multiplayer(better ? Very Happy) with online achievements (lmao Smile
- possible voice control feature
- uniform editor

Anyway,I must say I'm not buying into into Very Happy I've already paid premium for this game which is not upto my expectations,I really doubt it's any different than ETW, some reskin some fixes but same problems under the hood probably.

Looks like ETW was beta for Napoleon

"will build on the engine and framework of Empire Total War, but will add a whole host of new features and extra touches that the developers didn't have time to include in the first game. Kieran Brigden, Communications Manager at Creative Assembly, explains: "The way that Total War development works is we do a kind of evolution-revolution cycle. We create revolutionary technology for one title - in this case Empire, which had a brand new engine written from the ground up - and all new AI. Then, for the next game, we take that technology and evolve it - in this case with Napoleon. We've taken everything we've achieved with Empire and Empire's engine and just pushed it to the limit. Napoleon is essentially the culmination of what we wanted to do with Empire, given the time to take it further."
