TP-LINK,  i have their wireless N router and pci wireless card and i'm upstairs and router is downstairs and i get brilliant connection, i don't know about belkin, but netgear routers are overpriced pieces of shite, just go on the cable forum and you will see many virgin media customers complaining about the netgear hub that virgin supply, it's wireless is terrible.....fortunately i don't need the netgear hub as my modem could handle my free double speed upgrade.

This is why i never go near AMD processors or graphics cards......i'm an intel and nvidia guy.....AMD was and by the sound of it still are a budget alternative to intel and nvidia.....plus i don't like gigabyte motherboards either as i've experienced problems with those boards....stick with ASUS or MSI for motherboards and intel and nvidia for CPU and graphics.

i had a similar crash after installing fall of the samurai....and it was same, crashed after 2-3 mp battles only with me it was when i clicked on conquest map icon in battle setup after i came out of previous battle.
These crashes are due to win xp's virtual memory limitation, i tried the workaround posted on the tw forums by editing the boot.ini file to use larger memory, but it didn't work for me....i had to install windows 7 64 bit and now i have no more crashes, as i said the crash is due to the limitation of 32 bit operating systems and how they handle memory addresses....shogun 2 will kick out a large chunk of info that 32 bit operating systems can't handle....it's actually the fault of creative assembly's coders not optimising the game properly for windows xp 32 bit.

Another thing is all this new technology....new i7 core processors......you don't need them.....yes a graphics designer, video encoder, game designers need this latest technology because of the intensive tools and programmes they run. but c'mon how many games out there just now absolutely need and use multicore technology....VERY FEW.
it's all a gimmick and sales point for intel to get more money from gaming enthusiasts.

I'm a qualified PC engineer....and WILL tell anyone DO NOT OVERCLOCK...why????
People think that the secret to overclocking is keeping your system as cool as possible and that keeping it cool will prevent any damage being done to the CPU, RAM, and graphics card.......well sorry to tell you but giving your CPU,RAM or graphics card more voltage to overclock will in fact shorten the CPU, RAM and graphics cards life due to giving it more voltage.....it's the added voltage you give the CPU that shortens it's life....NOT HEAT......intel CPU's will automatically shut down to protect them if they get too hot, AMD Cpu's or at least older AMD processors didn't shut down when too hot....so they could be overclocked more if you have great watercooling, BUT as i said upping the voltage on your CPU to gain higher clock speeds will shorten the CPU's lifespan...NOT HEAT. Search the internet type in google " does giving your CPU more volts when overclocking shorten the CPU's life" and you will get many many overclockers telling you "YES".....how come an intel core 2 duo E8400 running at it's stock 3.00GHZ with a half decent heatsink and fan like the arctic freezer 7 pro last for anything between 6-10 years, yet the same processor overclocked to 3.8GHZ die after 3-4 years....god i have an old pentium 4 3.00GHZ (one of the first released by intel) and it's still going 7-8 years after i built the PC and my daughter is still using it....SIMPLE.....IT'S NEVER BEEN OVERCLOCKED..

Some don't even know how to get their dxdiag.
if they could post dxdiag then that would be good.....but if they can't bootup pc because of blue screen then the info i posted.

just thought i'd post this as not many people know the specifications of their computers, and us tech heads really do need to know this vital information before we can even think of trying to help.
we need to know:
1. make and model number of your motherboard (this is the most useful info as we can look up the motherboard and find the correct drivers..etc etc) if PC is a pre-built like a dell or hewlit packard or packard bell or alienware, we need the PC model number or if you look at motherboard there should be a model number in-between the expansion slots.
2. we need to know which operating system you have...xp, vista or windows 7 and whether it's 32 or 64 bit
3. graphics card model, soundcard model
4. type of memory (make and number)
5.cpu model.....we can tell by motherboard if it's intel or AMD
6. another important piece of info is write down any error messages, if your PC won't boot and the blue screen keeps disappearing then tap F8 on bootup and choose the option " disable restart on system failure" this will stop your PC from going into the reboot loop and will stop at the blue screen so you can write down the error message, there should be a file name or device name that is causing the blue screen, which is most probably a corrupt system file or corrupt hardware device driver. the 000x800000 type messages are only memory addresses but can be useful for us tech heads to search internet for more info on the problem.

Kuebel....i didn't mean to be rude, if that's the way you took my last post.
Everyones input about keeping their PC's free from viruses and other shit is always welcome......someone in the clan may get a virus and don't know how or what tools to use to get rid of the virus, but someone else like you or myself who has a fair bit of knowledge and experience can help solve the issue alot quicker than just leaving the PC noobs to figure it out on their own.
The virus stuff can easily be looked up on the internet and we can direct users to the proper tools. Other technical issues with computers depend on the user giving us full specification of their comp, error messages etc etc and the fault, but they sometimes don't realise that some faults cannot be fixed just by talking to us tech heads on teamspeak, some faults are easy to fix....some others not so easy, and to fix some faults you really DO NEED to be at the PC to figure out and carry out your process of elimination.
But we will still try our best to help clanmates fix their comps as best as possible.

Aye it could be a false positive.....many viruses have different names, but are same virus, like macafee will call it something yet kaspersky calls it something else.
yes kuebel i downloaded veetle from the veetle.com site.
but a virus could be passed through a stream.......anyway i searched my system32 folder for the dll file the virus is supposed to leave but couldn't find it, also ran malwarebytes and spybot S&D but they found nothing......could be a false positive......and yes i update kaspersky everytime i boot my PC. kuebel i'm a PC engineer, technician, i've got rid of viruses on many peoples comps even doing it manually through finding the rogue program and deleting it, and finding what registry entries it leaves and deleting them too.....i'm pretty much clued up on building, upgrading and servicing computers. Yes this instance was probably a false positive wrongly flagged by kaspersky....but i just wanted to flag it myself in case any of our members use or used veetle and their anti virus had detected it as a virus.
People don't know how anti virus programs work, they scan the files for malicious CODE, there could be a certain part of the code for veetle that causes some anti virus programs to flag it as a malicious code or security breach by allowing ports that a known virus uses or changing registry key values that a known virus changes, which causes the anti virus program to flag that you have a virus, but in fact it's a false positive.
